Reflexology & Massage Services
Everyone can experience benefits from reflexology and massage. Deep relaxation can lower blood sugar levels, decrease the healing time of your fatigued muscles and elevate your sense of well being.
Stress relief enhances your digestion, encourages you to fall asleep more easily and increases your quality of rest. Therapeutic massage helps restore tone and healthy circulation to overused and inactive muscles. Athletes, moderately active, sedentary and very ill people all receive benefits.
With compassionate nurturing touch all bodies feel better.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a stress relieving art of applying pressure to the feet, hands or ears for deep relaxation and restoration throughout the entire body. Its artful touch puts most people to sleep within ten minutes, improves their quality of sleep and helps the entire body achieve balance.
I practice foot reflexology which is beneficial for reducing both foot stress and general somatic stress including: Insomnia, Constipation, Anxiety, Nervous Tension, Headaches, PMS, Plantar Fasciitis, Bunions & Morton’s Neuromas.
The name reflexology refers to the theory that there are places on your feet, hands and ears known as reflexes that correspond to other parts of your body. Touch one and it will affect the other. Your hip reflexes are located around your ankles. Receiving reflexology here for example relieves stress in your ankles and in your hips.
Passive Foot Mobilization is a technique that consists of performing a series of relaxing and invigorating movements on the lower legs and feet at the end of a full reflexology session.
The goal is to release joint tension and muscle strain, allowing for increased comfort and functionality in the feet and the passive adjustment of the foot bones.
Aligned bones in the feet often translate into decreased pain in your feet, knees, hips, arms, neck, and even in your mind and emotions! This technique is extremely beneficial for people suffering from plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuromas, bunions, tight achilles tendons and calves, and anyone seeking to increase comfort in their legs and feet.
Full Body Massage sessions are tailored to each client’s need. Daily stress, over use of muscles and chronic patterns of pain are addressed with a mix of flowing Swedish massage strokes applied with varying degrees of energy for gentle relaxation or a more invigorating experience. Most clients find the combination of positional release, reflexology and full body massage to be very beneficial.
In all sessions I offer empathic support to assist my client’s wish to make mind body connections in a non-judgmental space.
Positional Release is a profound and gentle technique that initiates muscular and fascial tension release. Your body is moved into positions of comfort while specific spots of tension are monitored.
These ‘movements into comfort’ can be as big as moving and supporting your entire arm over your head to address a pain in your shoulder, or as small as applying gentle compression to your scalp to ease a pain in your neck. Many places of tension can be addressed with this technique that feels luxurious, easy and comforting as pains melt away.
Oncology Massage sessions are tailored to safely and comfortably address client’s needs for bodywork while in recovery and during on going medical treatments.
Please note: I am not a doctor. I do not practice medicine. I do not diagnose or treat for a specific illness. I do not prescribe or adjust medication. Reflexology & massage are not substitutes for medical treatments, but compliment most therapies. Reflexology & massage offer support & comfort to help you maintain a high quality of living.
